After two highly acclaimed Onyx albums devoted to the chamber music of Brahms, focused on the works featuring Viola, Maxim Rysanov now turns his attention to Robert Schumann in a mix of repertoire showcasing the viola and the clarinet. Rysanov has arranged a selection of songs from Schumann's two great song cycles, and they are extraordinarily effective as viola and piano miniatures.
