From the mist-veiled slopes of Finca Amazonas in Belén de Umbría, Risaralda, where altitude and biodiversity converge at 2200 MASL, a new voice rises from the canopy. Cultivated by David Gallego, this washed-process Landrace varietal is a quiet revelation—an heirloom reborn in the embrace of native flora and fauna.
Here, native bees play a vital role, pollinating the Landrace blossoms and weaving the threads of a thriving ecosystem into every cup. Their quiet labor enriches the coffee’s complexity, infusing it with the subtle vitality of the forest.
The aroma of goldenberry and grapefruit stirs like sunlight through dew-laced leaves. On the palate, it unfolds with the tropical brightness of mango, the zesty clarity of citrus, and the golden tang of goldenberry, all carried by a medium silky body and a gentle malic acidity that whispers rather than shouts.
The finish is a soft, lingering note of juicy yellow citrus, like the last glint of sun slipping through the trees.
Scoring 87.5 points, this coffee is a refined expression of place and patience—a tribute to the land’s quiet power, the farmer’s steady hand, and the bees’ silent artistry.
Sip with reverence. You’re tasting legacy.
