A training headstall in oiled Hermann Oak harness leather with hand-braided rawhide and stainless bit snaps.
Built for daily training rather than occasional use. The bit snaps are the difference: heavy stainless, so a bit comes off and goes back on in seconds, which matters when several horses share one headstall through a morning. The attachments are hand laced. The leather is oiled from the start, so it arrives dark and stays supple rather than needing to be worked in. Made in one run for the Stanford University equestrian team; the remainder is what is offered here.
