Onion Chives are the garden's most effortless and rewarding herb—a compact, perennial clump of wispy tubular stems that deliver fresh, mild onion flavor to anything they touch. Harvest through the growing season for salads, soups, baked potatoes, eggs, and more; then enjoy the round, lavender-purple blooms that appear in spring, attracting pollinators and adding serious charm to any garden border. Plant once, harvest for years.

Growing Instructions: Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost, or direct sow in spring. Chives are slow to establish from seed but extremely long-lived once settled in. Cut back to 2 inches above the soil after harvesting to encourage fresh, tender new growth. Divide clumps every 3 years to rejuvenate.
