During the past 30 years, the Delme String Quartet has built a reputation as one of Britain's leading interpreters of the classical repertoire. Since entering the music profession in 1971, Julian Farrell has become recognized as one of London's foremost clarinetists. Together, the musicians present Mozart's masterpiece for clarinet and string quartet and Haydn's famous string quartet on this 68 minute performance recorded in 1997 in the Staircase Hall of Basildon Park.
