James Carter - In Carterian Fashion [Import]

Carter's latest recording finds the accomplished young saxophonist returning to a more personal expression, following the primarily straight ahead tribute of 1996's Conversin' with the Elders. With it's blend of groove numbers, experimental forays and gospel inspired tracks, in Carterian Fashion showcases the more freewheeling aspect of Carter's playing, while showcasing a fresh interplay between sax and organ (featuring Cyrus Chestnut in his 1st organ recordings, among others).
