Melbourne Symphony Orchestra presents the second release in their Dvork cycle with Chief Conductor Jaime Martn. Dvork's Symphonies 2 & 8 follows the 2024 release of Symphonies 5 & 6, a critically praised recording noted for Martn's fresh perspective on Dvork's lesser-known symphonic works. The MSO's Dvork cycle will be the first by any Australian orchestra, honoring the rich musical traditions and nationalism embodied by the Czech composer's music. This cycle also pays tribute to the MSO's own home, with the artwork featuring picturesque landmarks from across the state of Victoria. This release shows the beloved Melbourne skyline bathed in a pink sunrise.
