Mammoth Russian Sunflowers are one of the garden's most awe-inspiring sights—reaching 10–12 feet tall on thick stalks, their massive golden faces can span 14 inches across and produce large, richly flavored seeds beloved by birds, wildlife, and people alike. A beloved heirloom that has been saving seeds and feeding communities for generations, this variety brings dramatic vertical structure and exuberant energy to any space while supporting pollinators throughout the summer season.

Growing Instructions: Direct sow after last frost when soil has warmed—sunflowers establish quickly and do not need to be started indoors. Plant in a location with some wind protection, as very tall plants can topple in storms. Stake if needed. Harvest seeds when the back of the head turns yellow-brown and seeds are plump and firm.
