Jeanne Moreau remains an icon, one of the greatest in France's national heritage. She was the muse of the Nouvelle Vague, and incarnated the highest summit of elegance, femininity and freedom. Jacques Verzier here pays a wonderful tribute to Moreau in performing (mostly) titles that come from the "Cycle de Clarisse". Together with the complicity of his longstanding partner, pianist Patrick Laviosa, Verzier succeeds in restoring every flashand tasty nuance that make these mlodies so delicately full of mischief.
