About the Vitarka Mudra

Vitarka is the gesture of teaching and discussion. The thumb and index finger touch to form a circle, a sign of the unbroken flow of wisdom, while the other fingers point upward. It recalls the Buddha explaining the dharma to his students.

It suits a study, a classroom, a desk or a gift for a teacher as well as an altar.
