How to Use It

Light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so the ember glows. Stand it in an ash catcher, or push the bare end into a bowl of sand or rice, and open a window a crack — incense is meant to drift, not fill. Never leave it burning unattended; keep it away from curtains, children and pets.

In Tradition

Copal was burned in Maya and Aztec ceremony and still is across Mexico; palo santo is burned in Peru and Ecuador to lift a space. In Sacred Crystals' teaching, sage clears and Palo Santo gets the energy dancing.
