This unique crystal is found in the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan, where it forms in an environment. The blue color in K2 stone is primarily caused by the mineral azurite which is embedded within the granite matrix, giving it its distinctive blue "spots" or inclusions.

About the Stone

K2 Stone is a white granite flecked with round blue orbs of azurite, found high in the Karakoram range near K2, the world's second-highest mountain, on the Pakistan–China border — which is the whole story of its name.

Care

The azurite orbs are soft and can pale with water and sun: wipe it with a soft dry cloth, no soaking, no salt, and keep it out of the window. Cleanse it with moonlight or a smudge.
