This rare jazz single from master of the vibraphone Lionel Hampton was originally released as 45 in 1973 on producer Johnny Brantley's obscure Gates Records imprint. "Sexy" is an instrumental workout between Hampton and The Jazz Inner Circle. The stellar cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David's classic "(They Long To Be) Close To You" features the sweet vocal stylings of Trudy Johnson.
