About the Stones
Clear Quartz. Clear Quartz crystals are six-sided with six-sided points, usually dense and milk-colored near the base, growing clear toward the point when pure.
Amethyst. Amethyst is quartz with iron inclusions that give it its color; the most coveted deep purple comes from Uruguay, though some Brazilian amethyst rivals it.
Black Onyx. Onyx is a banded chalcedony, the same mineral family as Agate; the solid black material is the classic form.
Care
Keep Amethyst out of long direct sun, which fades the purple. Take the set off for the shower and swimming, keep it away from perfume and lotion so the gold finish lasts, and wipe it with a soft cloth.
